Conclusion
It's usable, stable, adjustable, cheaper than Ergotron, and I'm glad I bought it.
It's the reliable quality of a Japanese manufacturer.
I'd recommend it to people who don't trust Chinese manufacturers and think Ergotron is too expensive.
Price Difference vs Ergotron
The price difference I researched as of July 3, 2025, was as shown in the image.
You can buy it for 10,000 yen less at list price, and about 8,000 yen less even at discounted prices.

Points to Consider When Buying a Monitor Arm
Based on my research, here are the points to consider when buying a monitor arm.
1. Stability of Mounting Surface
The stability of the mounting surface is most important.
If the mounting surface is thin and doesn't have sufficient area, wobbling occurs at the mounting point itself, making it completely unusable and potentially leading to damage to your precious monitor.
2. Load Capacity
Check if it can handle the weight of the monitor you plan to mount.
However, load capacity numbers from certain countries' manufacturers may be exaggerated, so it's important to search by specific product names and verify what weight monitors actually work.
3. Whether Minor Vibrations from Keyboard Usage Cause Shaking
It's terrible if shaking occurs during normal use.
This can be avoided by gathering information through reviews and videos.
4. Ease of Movement
Some people buy monitor arms specifically for the ability to easily adjust display position.
Ease of movement should be thoroughly checked.
5. Range of Motion
If you want to use the monitor not just horizontally but also vertically, research how much it can move.
Stability of Mounting Surface
The stability of the mounting surface is very good.
You turn screws with a hex wrench, but those screws are hidden within the arm connection, keeping both the top and bottom of the desk clean.
Load Capacity
Officially, it's rated for up to 20kg load capacity.
Gas Spring Monitor Arm (High Load Capacity/1 Screen/Balance) DPA-SS11BK - Elecom
I'm using a 27-inch Gigacrysta that weighs 4.2kg, and there are no problems at all - I can feel there's still plenty of capacity.
Shaking
I haven't experienced any shaking during normal use.
It doesn't shake at all from air conditioner or circulator wind.
Ease of Movement
I meticulously adjusted the height and monitor orientation, and was ultimately able to get it to the position I wanted, so I think it has sufficient ease of movement.
For people considering a monitor arm because monitor stands are in the way, I think it has adequate performance.
(This item has additional notes, so please see the dissatisfaction points section)
Range of Motion
This monitor arm has a wide range of motion with 5-axis movement.
Assembly Method
There's a concise and clear assembly video created by Elecom Direct that's very helpful and easy to understand.
Assembly DPA-SS11BK (Elecom Direct Shop) - Amazon
I assembled it while watching this video. It took about 15 minutes.
Dissatisfaction Points
I was a bit concerned about the ease of movement.
If you're buying it for frequent, casual smooth movement, some people might be dissatisfied with the ease of movement.
For people who only occasionally move it, this wouldn't be a problem at all.
Summary
I think I made a very good purchase.
I have no inconveniences whatsoever while using it.
For people who aren't picky and just want a monitor arm that works normally and cleans up their desk, I think this is sufficient.
The 10,000 yen difference is significant.
